deep sky images

Deep sky images are those taken with special cameras which allow very long exposures or take a lot of shots to gather enough light to enable an image to be built up. Some images are taken of object millions of light years away and can be very faint or invisible to the naked eye. Some images can take hours for just one image!

Top Row: First large one is the Rosette Nebula, the Orion Nebula then Andromeda galaxy. The 4th image is the Heart Nebula the last on the right is the North America nebula. If you rotate your view you can see Florida and the Gulf of Mexico.

The next two rows were taken using a remote telescope in Portugal.

Final Row were taken from home using a smart telescope (Dwarf II)
